The SHERIFF and KAMARA families regret to announce the death of Mr. Ansumana SHERIFF, aka ANSU, at the New York University Hospital in New York City on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at 3:00 P.M. following a relatively protracted illness. May the soul of Brother Ansu SHERIFF and the souls of all faithful departed through the mercy of Allah rest in perfect peace and light perpetual shine on them all, Ameen.

Brother Ansumana SHERIFF was born on November 24, 1975 in Liberia, West Africa unto the union of the late Varfee SHERIFF and Mrs. Makagbeh KAMARA-SHERIFF.

Mr. Ansumana SHERIFF is survived by his wife, Momayen SHERIFF of Staten Island, New York, three (3) daughters, Zainabu SHERIFF; Mariam SHERIFF, and Makagbeh SHERIFF, his mother, Mrs. Makagbeh KAMARA-SHERIFF, eleven (11) siblings, including eight (8) brothers and three (3) sisters, and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.

Special Islamic prayer services will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2009 at 12:00 PM in a local Masjid (Mosque) on Staten Island, New York, where Brother Ansu SHERIFF resided for many years with his lovely family.
